Phil Harrison

Phil was born in Liverpool and has been a professional musician and composer / songwriter all his life. Piano is his first love, but he is also a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. It is forty years since his biggest commercial success as a member of ‘The Korgis’, with several hits including the No 1 “Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometime”. He has also written music for film and TV and guested on plenty of recordings and live stages, working with, among others, Roger McGough and Mike McCartney, Neil Innes, Barbara Dickson, Jake Burns, Dave Knopfler and Peter Hamill.

In Crete he performs with both Greek musicians and visiting artists from abroad, as well giving solo performances and running the local women’s choir.

He continues to write songs and music, and his live shows always include some original work.

Recently his first album (released in 1975 by RCA) was singled out by ‘Shindig’ magazine for its innovation and excellence.
